Quick Start Configuration

The Proroute H820WRT shares the same intuitive web interface as the H685WRT, making initial setup fast and straightforward. Follow the steps below to get your router online and configured for your application.

Default Access Settings

• Router IP Address: 192.168.8.1
• Username: admin
• Password: Unique to each router (printed on label)
• Wi-Fi Password: m2mrouter168!!!

🔒 Tip: For security, it is strongly recommended to change the default Wi-Fi and admin passwords during initial setup.

Getting Started

1. Connect your PC to the router via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
2. Open a browser and enter 192.168.8.1 in the address bar.
3. Log in using the default credentials.
4. Follow the setup wizard or manually configure:
   • Mobile network settings (APN, PIN)
   • WAN failover preferences
   • Wi-Fi SSID and security
   • Firewall and VPN settings

Security Notice

To ensure the safety of your network, we strongly recommend updating all default passwords immediately after installation. WEBUI, SSH. 

Also to make sure that there is no access to the router via HTTP, HTTPS, Telnet or SSH over the WAN interfaces. This is checked at Network > Firewall > Security (Tab at top).
