Dual Cellular MIMO

Two SMA Female cellular antenna ports enable true MIMO antenna diversity for stronger signal, better throughput and improved reliability in fringe coverage areas. Both supplied antennas are SMA Male.

4 LAN + WAN Failover

Four 10/100 LAN ports connect multiple devices simultaneously. The dedicated WAN port adds broadband failover capability - the router automatically switches between fixed and 4G connectivity.

Enterprise-Grade Security

IPSec and PPTP VPN, WPA2 WiFi security, stateful packet inspection (SPI) firewall, NAT, and RADIUS client support. DMZ, BGP and OSPF dynamic routing all included.

Wide Voltage Input

Accepts DC 7V to 30V via the included terminal block connector, making it compatible with 12V and 24V DC systems - perfect for vehicles, solar/wind installations and industrial control cabinets.

SMS & Voice Control

Remotely monitor and control the router via SMS or voice call. Check status, trigger a reboot, or receive alarm notifications - no internet connection required for out-of-band management.

All-Network Compatible

Supports LTE bands 800/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz covering all major UK 4G networks (EE, Vodafone, O2, Three) with fallback to 3G DC-HSPA+ (42Mbps) and EDGE/GPRS for guaranteed connectivity.

Overview

Antenna Ports

Four SMA Female Antenna Ports

All antenna connectors on the H820t-W are SMA Female type. Antennas supplied with the router (and all third-party upgrade antennas) are SMA Male.

CELL 1 - Primary Cellular
SMA Female. Main 4G/3G cellular antenna port. Connect the primary mag-mount or stick antenna here. Covers LTE 800/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz and WCDMA 900/2100 MHz.
CELL 2 - MIMO Diversity
SMA Female. Secondary cellular antenna for MIMO diversity. Essential for maximum throughput and signal quality. Always connect both cellular antennas for full MIMO performance.
WIFI 1 & WIFI 2 - Wireless LAN
Two SMA Female WiFi antenna ports for 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz operation. Two WiFi antennas are supplied with the router (both SMA Male). If WiFi is not required, these ports can be left unconnected or WiFi disabled in the web interface.
Important - SMA connector orientation: All four antenna ports on the H820t-W are SMA Female (hole centre pin). All supplied antennas and compatible upgrade antennas are SMA Male (pin centre conductor). Never attempt to connect RP-SMA antennas - RP-SMA has the reversed pin arrangement and will not function correctly.

Quick Start

Up and Running in Minutes

The H820t-W ships ready to connect. Follow these steps for a first-time setup.

Insert SIM Card

Remove any PIN lock before inserting. Standard SIM (1.8V/3V). Most UK data SIMs auto-configure the APN - no manual entry needed.

Attach Antennas

Connect both cellular antennas (SMA Male) to CELL 1 and CELL 2 (SMA Female). Connect both WiFi antennas to the WIFI ports. For mag-mount antennas, place on a metal ground plane of at least 30x30cm.

Power On

Connect DC power (7-30V via terminal block or supplied mains adapter). Wait 60-90 seconds for full boot. SYS LED will flash green and CELL LED will illuminate orange.

Log in to Web Interface

Connect a PC to a LAN port via Ethernet. Open a browser and navigate to https://192.168.8.1. Username: admin - password is unique and printed on the underside label.

Update Firmware & Configure

The H820t-W has multiple hardware revisions - confirm your revision before downloading firmware. Then check Network > Mobile to verify APN and confirm 4G connectivity.
